The Valletta Grand Prix Sprint Event is to be held once again in the Unesco World Heritage City of Valletta during the first week of May 2010. This annual historic classic car event will run along Valletta's sea front intertwining streets aligning Malta’s capital city.
The Valletta Grand Prix of historic and classic cars is an important element to Malta’s calendar of events. It is aimed not only in promoting such an event with local enthusiasts, but also at drawing more tourists to the island and to create a niche market associated with such prestigious European Motor Sport activities.
This year’s motoring event shall be attracting over 100 local and foreign participants for the main two-day street sprint events to be held on Saturday 8th and Sunday 9th May. It is also envisaged that there will be some 40 foreign entrants together with their respective families and friends. As part of this year’s Marketing and PR strategy the foreign motoring press will be communicated with and international advertisements in specific leading car magazines will take place. The climax to these activities will be the Concours D’Elegance to be held in Mdina, Malta’s Old Capital City.
