Diving in Malta and GozoThe climate is hot, with temperatures reaching up to 36°C from May to the end of September. The warm Sirocco wind blowing up from the Sahara can make diving conditions rough of southern coasts in spring and summer, while the latter part of the year sees the north westerly majistral blowing strongest. Most rain is in winter. Best time for diving in Malta is between April and October or November. The clear waters are home to plentiful fish and shore dives reveal many small fish, while offshore sites produce barracuda, groupers and others. Malta's highlight, however, is seahorses.Popular diving sites in Malta...Ramla Bay - Shore dive, average depth 3m, maximum depth 6m, excellent for divers completing training courses and novice divers.
